Our Client urgently requires an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join their team on an interim basis. The successful candidate will he highly experienced in doing bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations. Duties include maintaining the fixed asset register, accruals & prepayments, intercompany, bank reconciliations, AP & AR sub ledger reconciliations, maintaining journals, assisting the Finance Manager and ad-hoc projects. Job Description
This is an exciting and varied finance role: working directly with operational managers to ensure accurate reflection of performance in the accounts and best practise on financial management in the division. A wide range of experience is offered in this role. We are looking for somebody who can competently manage the detail and assist proactively in the continuous improvement of processes, alongside recognition of the bigger picture issues.Specific Responsibilities:
Publish monthly divisional management accounts.
Produce revenue recognition, work in progress adjustments, provisions, accruals, prepayments, time recording and any other journals.
Analyse and interpret the divisional management accounts, actively highlighting the key issues and variances.
Participate in the annual planning and budgeting process for the division.
Ensure that correct accounting practice is adhered to within the division and that audits are complied with and that auditors queries are resolved.
Maintain standing data for projects on Oracle.

Job Description
Principal Responsibilities of the role: This is a key position leading the EMEA IS DW&R team and is responsible for building and maintaining strong business relationships with the business partners. The person must act as the primary contact for all Cognos, data warehouse and JBA commercial and finance reporting needs guiding and supporting the business systems activities of EMEA. They must effectively manage/oversee from a technical perspective reporting systems projects & application support and any ad hoc needs within the user communities, whilst ensuring the overall integrity of the applications. They will be responsible for managing the reporting element of major JBA system changes and upgrades to the Cognos and data warehouse application. They will be responsible for the development and management of a team of RPG and Cognos systems analysts. In addition, the person will ideally have expertise in Cognos version 8 and the principals of Data warehousing, thus providing the ability to develop plans and system designs in accordance with IS standards. The ability to anticipate problems, provide solutions on potential problems with the necessary priority, and presenting the solution to the business partners must be performed. This position will require the ability to manage projects, provide mentoring of other IS staff, and provide supervision of their team as well as being able to act in a consultancy role advising and training the user community. Being able to present ideas clearly and concisely will be a requirement of this position. Person Specification / Skills Requirement The person will have an in-depth awareness of the reporting needs and processes of a large organisation. In addition, the person will ideally have in depth knowledge of Cognos version 8, MS SQL 2005, and Data warehousing. A working knowledge of System 21(JBA) financial & commercial applications or those of another similar ERP system would also be useful. In addition, they must: Possess strong project management skills Be capable of planning and managing system implementations Have leadership and motivational skills Be able to manage their own time, their teams and a project teams time Be able to write clearly and persuasively Attention to detail.
